Stay Healthy and Safe with a Flu Shot Clinic!

Every local church has the potential to be a healthcare organization. As we take temperatures and set guidelines to keep our Churches healthy, we are caring for the health and safety of our communities. Let us help you expand that health ministry to include a drive through, or socially-distanced, flu shot clinic.

Many churches have been busy, using their resources to have functional Sunday services during the pandemic, and many have not felt equipped for community outreach. Whole Health is always working hard to update our initiatives to build on ways that your church can reach your members and your neighbors. So far, during the pandemic, Seed to Oaks is offering churches insight, to help them realize simple ways to meet the health needs in their community. Many churches now see that the work that they are already doing is important. They see that caring for their healthcare workers is a health ministry, providing basic needs for out of work employees is a job ministry and caring for teachers is an educational ministry. Churches that have met these needs, or realize these needs need to met, are able to build on the foundation of what they have already accomplished – at their own pace. Whole Health is here to help.

Through a partnership with Whole Health, many local churches are meeting healthcare needs in simple, life changing ways.  We have all heard by now, that this flu season could be more dangerous in conjunction with COVID-19, so fighting the flu is one way your church can meet the health needs of your community. A drive-up flu vaccine clinic may be exactly what connects, or reconnects, your church to your community! Flu season has begun and we are seeing churches like Westwood Presbyterian, in Louisville’s Historic West End neighborhood, and Walnut Street Baptist, in Louisville’s Old Louisville neighborhood, engage health care providers and Whole Health to show up for their neighbors in this life saving, practical way.

So far during the pandemic, Whole Health has been part of drive through healthcare efforts in Louisville, Kentucky. Thank you Westwood Presbyterian for caring for your neighbors with a drive thru flu vaccine clinic in September. Thank you to Walnut Street Baptist for planning a parking lot- free flu vaccine and hiring event for your neighbors on November 9th, from 10am-2pm.
