Many have heard of the ‘elevator pitch’ concept, a 30 second summary of why YOU should want to know ME. But how many of us actually have an elevator pitch ready at any given moment to use to our advantage? Job One candidate, Brittany Williams, sure did and it won her the job she had been looking for.
Brittany already had much to offer: a single mother, business owner, experienced chef, and go-getter. However, like many, she struggled with discussing her own gifts and talents and crediting her skills to the job market. It was easy to help her formulate an effective pitch with a little help from the Job One team so she could obtain a stable, primary income. When interviewing with a local hotel for a position as a banquet cook, Brittany put her elevator pitch to good use and was met with verbal praise from her interviewer, being told that her pitch was quite impressive.
