The Job One program at Third Avenue Baptist church had an exciting opportunity this month, to bring our Success for Life workshops to a non-profit in our community. BSideU for Life is a community organization that supports women through pregnancy and offers support with life skills training, counseling, and bible study. They support women through some of lifes challenges and walk with them as they work towards their personal and professional goals.
Job One loves to support community partnerships such as Third Avenue and BSideU and we were thrilled to offer a four-week Success for Life training course for those interested. We brought a fun, interactive and informative training session each week that allowed us to get to know each participant. We worked together on job readiness skills such as character building, interviewing skills, creating a resume and navigating the different resources available to women in Louisville.
We are thankful to BSideU for being an amazing resource for women and to Third Avenue Baptist Church for stressing the importance of work readiness through their desire to implement Job One at BSideU for Life. We are grateful for the opportunity to take Job One “on the road” to them and be part of the good work and services that they are providing. We look forward to supporting and working with many of the partners and churches in our community to bring job readiness to those who want it!
