As one of our church partners was completing the Neighborhood 360 assessment, they realized just important the Assessment process had become. Their interests had drifted so far from the community members who lived nearby. “We are finally seeing success when it comes to reaching the community around us.” With most of their church members commuting, they like many churches focused on caring for those in their church, without time to care for the neighbors closest to them. Through their assessment and with the intentionality to prioritize their neighbors, they have spent the last year and a half hosting neighborhood block parties and community events focusing on the kids in the community. They are seeing growth from their commitment with new young families now attending the church.
