Transformation in Action
This past year, one church partnered with Seed to Oaks to gain a deeper understanding of their neighborhood. Through a Neighborhood 360˚ Assessment, they identified overlooked needs that had been hiding in plain sight: families struggling with food insecurity, seniors experiencing isolation, and young adults seeking guidance and mentorship.
Armed with this knowledge, the church launched a monthly initiative to address these challenges—a community gathering that included meals and practical workshops. These events became more than just a way to meet physical needs; they became spaces for connection, encouragement, and hope.
The result? New relationships were formed, trust was built, and the church became a visible reflection of God’s love in the neighborhood. By stepping into these opportunities, they didn’t just change their community—they were transformed themselves.
Opening Our Eyes
Epiphany is more than a celebration; it’s an invitation to see the world as God does. Every neighborhood holds stories of struggle and potential, and every community offers opportunities to reflect His love. Sometimes, all it takes is a new perspective to spark meaningful change.
Seed to Oaks exists to provide tools and guidance to churches so they can uncover these opportunities and take action. As Jesus reminds us:
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).
When churches become beacons of light, they create spaces where people can find hope, healing, and belonging.
Shining Brightly in 2025
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue walking alongside churches as they step into their role as catalysts for transformation. Tools like the Neighborhood 360˚ Assessment and the upcoming Digital Neighborhood Explorer are designed to help identify the unique needs and dreams of communities, empowering churches to make a lasting impact.
Imagine what could happen if every church embraced the spirit of Epiphany—if every congregation saw their neighborhood not as a challenge to overcome, but as a mission field ripe with opportunity. Together, we can shine brightly, sharing Christ’s light with a world in need.
